Climbing at Gaillands Crags, Chamonix and some easter hiking

Chamonix has some spectacular climbing areas in the valley. Lots are nicely bolted, some a little bit polished but super fun to spend an evening after work chilling out at. It has been a race against the setting sun during April as we don’t finish work until 6pm but there’s still enough time for 3 or 4 routes here.

Abseiling back down with Les Drus in the dusk light.

The view across to the Mt Blanc Massive, not a bad scene to have at the top of the routes.

Meg climbing a super nice, 5 something graded route in the middle of the crags.

Not at Gaillands but from the Petit Balcon Sud above the crags, I just love the picture and that view you just can’t escape from!
