The next leg of our cycling trip saw us biking alongside the River Panj for several days. The Panj is a river in a remote part of the world that undertakes a beautifully varied journey: it starts among the high glaciers of the Big Pamir, a triangle of extremely mountainous land bordering China, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
